Do you play on a PC? My game started doing that, too. So I googled it and it said it was a Windows 10 update that messed it up.  When I try to send a message, or add hero energy, any time I have a window open in the game, it freezes. Not all the time, just enough to make me edgy about when it will do it again.

I play Vikings: WoC on a laptop, and yes, my OS is Win10.

I don't think there were Windows updates since last night,

well, actually this morning (AM), as I was on my laptop all

night.

The games freezes when I try to use Navigator>> Watchtower

and then attempt to change the 'Search' category from the

default: 'Town', to any other resource, such as 'Farmlands',

'Lumberjack Camp', etc.

Plarium needs to ensure their game runs smoothly on any

device/platform. Did you submit a Support ticket for your

experience?
