Are you sure you are reading the information correctly?

If the new tasks refreshes and offers logging on for"x" days, it should automatically give you a tick for a daily quest.

In the case of all other tasks,you may not have noticed as its difficult to keep a record of everything  yourself, but the game keeps a score of what you have done, and reduces the shown amount  by that quantity.
