My understanding of God Trick is how many invaders you kill, and as you level you get stuff.

The Trick of the Gods event is different each time. You need to read the tasks that give points and do those things each time the event appears. Sometimes it will be yielding a particular rss, or training a particular tier of troops or attacking a particular level of ghost or invader, or a particular type of task.
