Only your shield for the stated time if you attack.

I believe it was introduced a while back, so you may have been unaware  of the consequences of upgradng.

 It was introduced possibly to spice up the game, and also in the light of the complaints of hit and runs, i.e  fast reshielding.

Both the attacker and avenger take the extra risk of doing so now.

Spice up the game...🤭
