Hi everyone. 

I have recently been analyzing how the em dash is used to add emphasis and break up sentence structure in digital communication. 

While it is incredibly effective for creating a dramatic pause, I worry that overusing it can make my writing seem too informal for professional contexts. 

I am trying to better understand the nuances of punctuation marks and uses  to ensure my tone is perfectly calibrated for each audience. 

How do you balance the need for emphatic, engaging writing with the requirement to maintain a strict corporate voice in your emails? I would appreciate your tips on mastering tone.
