I thought I knew what upgrading warriors was...that it was in the Studies tree for the different levels of troops, but as i did those, my point total did not change in the Orders War, so where do you "upgrade warriors" for OvO's?
Correction: It wasn't an OvO, it was a Strengthen your town challenge, but it says to gain power by "upgrading warriors", I tried the studies for warriors, but that didn't add anything to my points.
I believe this is for upgrades done within the Alchemical Lab. Testing indicates so. [Had 0 event points, did an upgrade, then had points.]

Make sure you don't also miss the Conclave of Cardinals , then, just above it.
Not inconsiderable benefits (and very considerably expensive) to it. See Conclave of Cardinals at throne.help for more info, including Cardinals to get a grip on the various bonuses.
You can use the drop down there to winnow down the number of choices when you're trying to focus on something particular.
And don't forget, the Grand Inquisitor Achievement req uires (many) Carinals to level 10.
