For Offensive BGs an easy way to understand the best unit too use to complete the BG is the one that Balur has the least..
Eg:
If Balur has less marennons then the best unit to use is Bestiary.
If Balur has least Orchish riders then best to use is Cavalry.
If Balur has least Orcs then best to use is infantry
If Balur has Ogre than best is Occult..
