The type of units sacrificed affects the payout as well as bg level

I often get Pathfinders+Reavers+Chimers from level 25s, but prefer to send only infantry to get Bestiary payouts

Try varying the units you send, even spies can help

what bg are you playing? i have never gotten pathfinders, reavers or chimeras from them

Maybe on one of the other servers or facebook.  I know you can't get them on our server.

pikes, paladians,archers,dwarves, mountain dwarves,barbarians,nomads,knitghts,greatlords,necros,warlocks,gollems,demons,wiverns,dragons and griffins.

Here are the identical units from level 31 red bg from the pirate game, which gave 96 chimera, 193 reaver and 481 pathfinders .... and only cost me 870 pikemen

I realize that red pirate bg use different defense units, but have never seen any difference in mechanics, strength or rewards ( 101 Griffins, 7 Golems, 7 Nomads and 8 Barbarians in this screenshot - no Balur units except on green bg)

again Pirates is not Stormfall I have done more bg's than I can count and have never seen these units rewarded on Stormfall

Agreed, I've never seen them here either, although some of plarium's other games do give them.  I believe they don't give them as bg rewards here because of the +100% pathfinder offense relics.  If you could get level 180 bg payouts with like 50k pathfinders in them, it would be possible to easily build up armies of a few million super powered pathfinders.  

so ask them to fix the broken relic which was designed for bear riders, and then they can start adding chimers etc to this game lol

I do remember getting chimera+reaver+pathfinders when I first started playing this game, and that was before they added the worthless dwarf set - We cant even upgrade these beyond level 20 because they are so badly designed

at my own oppinion sometimes i find usefull that those mountain dwarves on low leves as same as normal dwarves or pikes of low staff i receive when i finish low level bgs for mareth quest and still have payback the last payout. i use them for saga bgs are cheap and usefull to barrell them even the nomads or barbarians i get. and also returning them to rune bgs to load the bank. not banks so much but every troops count on it.

Just send one dragon or one griffin to complete mareth quests, no reason to sacrifice anything. I still get payback after zero loss occasionally

and you can send any units to saga quests because they are perfectly balanced, no unit type gets an advantage

Rune bg are the same as any other normal bg, so send your normal cannon fodder to weaken them, mountain dwarves have no advantage there either, unless you send many ballista to bg filled with marrennon only

i do mareth quest kill 5 Bgs with the lowest bg levels i have and with the troops i have, pikes (cheap) and pathfinders (fill the bank) and demons (the only deff i do for bgs) and get those dwarfes i said

what i want to mean is that i find useful that troops cause i can send them to saga bgs with wraiths (usually i do saga only with wraiths) the profit is real nice.

about the rune bg, i dont want take any advantage sending the dwarves, only send them to die and increase my bank, not so much but all banks

There is no any bug here. The Ulrich's blade is rare, but it's obtainable. The fact that it's hard to get it has nothing to do with a bug.

why would you want cavalry troops as rewards over more powerful and better occult units?

if you do lower level bg you can get great lords, knights, barbarians and nomads as rewards already

The problem with the blade is : it is SUPER RARE, it's super hard to obtain it.

My idea is... my "hacking" is... (which is not really a hacking as this game has no purpose)

I tried with 35 wyverns, 97 warlocks, 1700 pikemen and this gave me a divine relic (two times).

Now, let's try with less and less units...
