Champions Events

Just wanted to say that the champion events we have had over the last couple of months have been really, really appreciated.

Now we are able to earn important things like holy bonds and Grade V orbs from actually playing the game.

If you train a champ to rank 7, at the right times, you will earn 7 of the 20 orbs you need to complete the champ. If you really want the extra 13 orbs you can train other champs for them.

Yes that takes a lot of time and effort but you can't underestimate how key it is that it's possible. You go from facing a game where it is impossible to compete other than via the shop to one where it is your choice whether you can compete (do you want to put the time and effort in - but it is possible if you want it enough).

As well as the orbs the availability of holy bonds is significantly improved.

We now have events like the week long champs tournament where you can earn them. I know it still costs money but they come up in battle passes from time to time and the battle pass is very cheap and available to people of all spending levels (bar an absolute F2P).

The combination of the the "bonds back" events with the Guatanteed champs / double chance events, has significantly changed the maths on how many bonds you need (because the unmodified 1 in 4 is pretty soul destroying tbh)

It now feels that if you play smart and you play hard you can now realistically dream of getting a decent collection of champs and orbing the key ones to a decent bonus level. That is huge for the game, given how powerful champs are, how necessary they are to be competitive in the game.

Leveling the playing field on champs has been a huge improvement for the game. Thank you for the new updates and events that have enabled it.

They say a picture tells a thousand tales. This picture below if from Server 1, which according to Plarium is the most active server. It shows how players are interacting with Champions.

This picture can only mean one thing.

  1. Champions are still an elitist future with few players engaging in them.

    Or

  2. the game has less than 5000 players left.
In the same champion event, one player scored 160 million points. While the 100th player scored 24 million points. So you are probably wrong, champions are an elitist feature, and very coiner based.

champions related events provide opportunities for non coiners more than anything in game

u gain emeralds the way i said

and u gain orbs the way dj moody thanked plarium for !

coiners are everywhere in every category, not just champions, but here u get a chance to compete

I didn't say the game is coming to an end. I said there are not probably not many people playing champions. Since there are not many people playing champions, then not many people like Champions.

when is the community manager going to give feedback about this feature?

The amount of champions you need to sacrifice in order to earn 160 million points is over 30 000. Even if the players started the tournament with a complete set of 300 level 3 champions, it will be impossible to get 160 million points without spending thousands of emeralds buying champions.

So which opportunities does this tournament I mentioned here, and which DJ Moody Praise, provide to non coiners? Are you suggesting that players I have highlighted are non coiners?

You don't get a chance to compete, you get a chance to click. You don't get a chance to win, you get a chance to play. I am not saying Champions are not fun, they are fun. But they are not completely "Free to Play"

this was a week long event, held once a month ! i,having champs on autohunt only, non consistently had 20 mil points

what dj moody mentioned is up there, its very beautifully explained,u didnt need to ask me, but okay, here it is,u get free orbs for which u normally have to buy 50 dollar packs for.what more friendlier u want than this to players like us ..

thats not all,we have guaranteed events ! in which we get orange champions(grade 5) for sure

then again u didnt get a chance to get oranges ? u open 2 holy bond,u get one back.u dnt have holy bonds, open epics and get holy bonds

let me say again ! u can win in weekly, but that was not my point.my point was that even that feature is helpful for people to get emeralds.

still a topic was formed and answered and explained by so many people, its on how that works and related to this topic so ill leave u the post to have a look.

u can find it here.

a friend been to top 3 that way,so its possible, the weekly one not the one u sent snapshots for ! which was not my point of discussion to begin with

It kinda feels like your real motivation here is to find out how many active players there are in the game. So why try to shoe-horn it into a thread about Champs? You could have just replied to the thread you linked and left it at that.

If you upgrade the Shrine of Summoning to level 20 (which can be done fairly easily using sapphires from tournaments to buy sketches during discount) you can train champs profitably, meaning your emeralds will go up just from doing training.  I have nearly 50k emeralds just from doing this, without having ever bought an emerald pack.

Anybody willing to put in some effort can score high in the champion tourneys.
We both know that you have an income in the game. From that income alone, you also receive 4500-6500 sapphires from the brawl, plus other league tournaments, and Solo PvP tournaments. You get about 17 000-25 0000 sapphires per week. Maybe more. So you probably don't get how expensive it is to upgrade the Shrine. Especially when you didn't play the game since 2018. And most players are just getting back.

this is making things personal !

i dnt know how he has an income ,i dnt,so dnt many others !

u asked about champions i,and few others gave u good reasons its possible

then u talked about emeralds, there it is,up there .free emeralds and how to

the rest of what u do is just complaining and its not even fair ! if it was just complain,im used to it ! almost everybody is ,but its not only complaining but also not fair too

u can join a good performing league and claim good saphires too.u dnt take action and also expect to just have everything upgraded ?

im honestly in loss of words and just dnt know what to say now

This topic is going to stray off topic on and on. I have no issues with Bio, and I don't want to have any. And my comment was innocent.

DJ said champions are great. I said they are not, because the majority of people who enjoy are coiners. Coiners are the ones that get to win champion tournaments, and coiners are the ones that have a complete set of grade 5 champions.

Then Fury and Bio interjected by saying champions get to be "Free" when you upgrade the Shrine.

Then I replied that its too expensive t upgrade the Shrine without coining.

It could be very easy to upgrade the shrine when you are in a big league. True, but being in a good league shouldn't be the only factor when it comes to champions.

Anyway, this topic is getting too hot. As for Bio, you know what I meant by my comment. I will not engage in this topic anymore.

Just to be clear.

I didn't say "champs are great".

I said the new champs related events were much appreciated, because they had turned champs from shop only content for mega coiners to something people could earn in game and therefore anyone active now could aspire to a full set of champs.

I am getting a bit fed up of being constantly misquoted by everyone tbh.

As a side note on the summoning buildings. You only need to get it to lvl 14 to increase the drop rate of bonds to break even (i.e. you won't run out of bonds from continual champs training any more). Lvl 14 is not that expensive and something anyone priotising their free sapphires onto the "right" things can readily achieve.

If you do that and bag all the free emeralds & recharge orbs that are available from events you can run significant champ training for free without costing yourself any emeralds (you can rank 7 a champ in around a month w/o spending money).

I understand what you were saying, I do in fact spend some money on the game so I have more saphires than a free player.  But I also do the math before spending to make sure I'm getting the most for my $, and the math shows that a free player could get their shrine leveled up over the course of a few months if they're in a halfway decent league and take advantage of the sketch discounts that come around every few weeks.  It just requires patience and making sure you do a few bgs or some small scale pvp at the right times.

it was like the time some people said in BGs food dsnt count

and some said oh well BGs dnt work

its just complaining !like back then never trying to learn a feature like BG and expecting a win then complaining

u cant expect a champion win without actually knwoing how it works !

its complaining and not a fair one !

instead of this i learned how to do this,i taught not only my league, but also wrote a tutorial for everyone else in forum !

this is the most helping feature to everyone ,if its not seen it just means they need to do more research on it

Hello! Though the name and the avatar is almost the same, this was my colleague's reply  Could you please share a link to this thread with me? Thanks in advance!

The community manager promised to ask developers to implement this feature here

https://plarium.com/forum/en/stormfall-age-of-war/51_game-discussion/100574_how-many-people-are-actually-playing--/

The topic was closed before she got to tell us what happened.  I think this feature will benefit us since some aspects of the game are depended on the number of players online. Like opening a Holy bond, and taking a beacon.

It will be nice to know how this ended. Especially since we will be playing on Plarium Play from now on.

Hi, Oracle! Thanks, I've asked the team. We do have this feature in our plans, but no dates for now, I'm afraid. Cheers!

Yep.  If you upgrade it past 14 though you can sacrifice the extra champs you get from extra bond drops to reduce the number of sends needed, which lets you gain emeralds as you train.

I'm Not sure what the point you were trying to make here or What most Players you are talking about ?  There are far more players playing that never left the game in My opinion.

It almost looks like you're complaining That the those that stayed and worked on their castles and helped build their leagues to the point that they get extra advantages above those that left and Have come back and are in smaller leagues now.

I'm sorry but isn't that the point of this game  to help your league or leagues  and have them advance to the point where the whole league is rewarded for the years it has taken them to grow into the status that they have achieved?

I find any perks received are warranted and deserved by those they have stuck to it  through thick and thin.

That goes also for the champs events  all those leagues that have excelled did so because as a league they have worked together to earn whatever advantages they may have .
