but the game usually sends a not "are you sure you want to send your spy's into battle..." or something similar, which you have to click before preceding. That is why I believe the bug is there, as Teddy would have seen that and realized he had pushed the wrong button. Instead the game has missed that the spys were sent correctly. This happened to me once, as I sent a spy to reinforce a castle friend and it went to spy instead. these buttons are on different side of the castle, for me it was only one spy and not 10k of them; I believe there is a game error here that needs to be accounted for

I think you will need to send a ticket to Support Helpdesk with many screenshots - but it seems hopeless unless they can recreate the 'bug'
I saw a very similar post on facebook forum but it seems to have been deleted (I will post it if I find it)
A player sent one archer on a siege ... but the battle report showed 100+ of each spy unit type plus legendaries sent with the archer
All were killed by one spirit warden
The screenshots looked insane
Edit: I just did a quick test sending one spy to a siege to liberate. There was no warning to send offense units and it was impossible to Cancel the attempt without wasting an Instant Recall

Curious battle .... Spies cannot attack and Paladins are terrible at defense (but if none were killed they should be hidden from battle reports)
and not even a pvp tournament running either ...... actually, one paladin could kill 10,000 spies and legendaries, which is precisely why the game should not treat Liberate attempts as Reinforcements. They should bounce back and be prevented from engaging in combat

I have tested the situation within the same environment. The bug has not been confirmed. If you select Siege option on a Castle and select only spy units, you won't be able to send the siege. You will receive the message displayed in my screenshot above.
This means the troops have been sent as reinforcements to defend a Castle.

As I said before. The buttons are on oposite sides of the castel wheel. I have played this game 4years and dont make mistakes like that. my 10k spies would anyhow killed the 20 paladins defending that siege. as a admin you must see there is something wrong here. I had a similar problem last year and got my troops back. How can support help me?
Let me try to explain better. I league member got sieged. I pressed spy button and sent spies. The game report suddenly said I failed to break the siege. Even if I had pressed the wrong button, witch I did not, I would have killed those paladins. I got no exp points the report does not look normal.

this is obviously a bug he sent assassins with his other spies so he would have killed SOMETHING

Spy units do not attack regular units. Only Assasins cause damage to Spy units. However, none of the spies have the offensive stats.
The outcome displayed in your screenshot can be received in two ways: if you send reinforcements to a besieged Castle, or you send a Siege to the besieged Castle. If you use spy units in both cases, they will not attack regular troops and will be defeated. If you spy the besieged Castle, the units will successfully return to your Castle. I have tested all scenarios and can affirm the feature is bug-free.
Please note that we investigate bugs and losses on the forum. Such cases are not handled via tickets. In this case, the bug has not been confirmed and the troops were lost within the regular gameplay. I am afraid the units cannot be restored in this case.Agent Pavel can you please help me get in touch with the ones in the Plarium system that can make the desition to give me my troops back?

The decision about the reimbursement is made by technical support agents after conducting an investigation. Really? I have played this game for 4 years. Do you really think I would send 10k spies to breake a siege? I spend alot of money on this game and not asking for much. Just a fair treatment. It must be obvious to anybody that something wrong happened here. I ask you to reconsider your decition and give me a fair treatment. I have gotten refound in the past when there was a obvious glitch in the game causing me to loose troops.
I do not think you have sent the Spies to break the Siege intentionally. However, this action has been caused not by an in-game issue. Thus we consider the losses within the regular gameplay.
Since the bug has not been confirmed, the topic will be closed.
