The Temple of Demeter works to reduce the grain consumption of every individual unit. The amount it reduces is equivalent to the current bonus it provides. For example, your temple would reduce the grain consumption of your swordsmen by 0.30 which is 30% of 1. So all your swordsmen plus those which consume 1 grain per hour would consume only 0.70 grain.

To check whether your grain production p/hr works accurately or not one method would be to-

1. Add up all the base consumption of your units. For example if you have 1000 swordsmen and 3000 agema horseman your base consumption would be 1000 + (3000 X 4) = 13000. Being swordsmen consuming 1 grain and agema consuming 4 grains.
2. Reduce the above number by the bonus percentage level of the demeter and also the "academy grain consumption bonus". In your case the demeter bonus would be 30%. For example,    base grain consumption X (1 - ((demeter bonus+academy bonus)/ 100)))
3. Now you would have to include in the capital grain consumption bonus. I have not checked whether it works on 11% of base consumption or 3% of base consumption, and also dominion and "50% grain reduction" bonus if you have any, better to turn them off when you are calculating this. Hopefully others might know how they work .
4. Finally, Subrtract the grain consumption you get after all these calculations to the amount of grain you produce every hour. This would be your actual grain production p/hr.

The production of 384p/h that you see is what is left over after consumption, you're not doing anything wrong
