One way would be to link one's Google account to the Plarium Profile, presumably it would also work with FB but I haven't tried this. Also, I have seen forum contests that offer the upload of an individual avatar as a reward.

Doesn't seem to have helped.  Do I need to do something else - like is there a trick to it or do I need to copy a link or something.

Any help appreciated.

Good morning Trajan:

I have some good news and some bad news … and then some more good news :-).

•  Good news: When registering with Plarium using a social media account, the avatar is used as a player icon. 
  
• Bad news: But linking to an external account at some later time, after one has selected a standard avatar, will not override this selection.  
  

Therefore my original advice was flawed, as I had linked to my Google profile when first registering and wasn't aware of this glitch. Apologies. 

• Good news: we've asked the devs to look at this, ideally providing a method to deselect a standard avatar allowing the social media avatar to be used. 
  

I'll keep track of this and let you know if and when a fix is in place.
