Despite around 30 attacks & defences of positions ranging from level 2 to 36 my contribution (506) does not change and my position just keeps racking down.

This same thing happened at an earlier solo PVP  -  when the PVP finished it showed my contribution as 0 after well over 50 attacks although in that instance my contribution count rose steadily with each attack - it just showed 0 at the end and in that case I'd got to around position 67. 

Any thoughts please?
