I wanna suggest the following.

When a coalition is sending coalition attack  another coalitions pantheon the defender hegemony should get an option either to activate or not war status for 48 hours.

In order to prevent unfortunate events this should only be applied if the attack is send from hegemony or polemarch only.

hm interesting suggestion  Kostas . I like it !in this  way  the coalitions would think twice before they  hit  other's pantheons. On the other hand  they  can avoid the war by demoting their polemarchs to standard bearers  so the panthon's keepers won't be able to activate the status of war .It is a strategy game after all
