Mounted Peltast stats!

Archons! The marathoners found a manuscript with detailed information on how every Archon can improve his Mounted Peltast stats! Gather around to learn more!

Mounted Peltast: average Defense points – 587.5

Light Infantry Defense – 400

Heavy Infantry Defense – 500

Phalanx Defense – 725

Cavalry Defense – 725

These characteristics can be improved by updating your "Corinth" Agreement, Coalition bonuses, Dominion Status bonuses, and Elixirs.

Updating your "Corinth" Agreement adds 40% to the Mounted Peltast stats. Elixir Level 12 gives you an opportunity to increase the Light Infantry Defense by 40%, Heavy Infantry Defense by 32%, Phalanx Defense by 16%, and Cavalry Defense by 12%. Do not forget about the Coalition bonus and the Dominion Status bonus (starting from Level 9) which can add 5% each.

The marathoners calculated the overall bonus that can be achieved:

Light Infantry Defense = 400 + (40% + 40% + 5% +5%) = 400 + 90% = 760

Heavy Infantry Defense = 500 + (40% + 32% + 5% +5%) = 500 + 82% = 910

Phalanx Defense = 725 + (40% + 16% + 5%+ 5%) = 725 + 66% = 1203.5

Cavalry Defense = 725 + (40% + 12% + 5% +5%) = 725 + 62% = 1174.5

So the average Defense of the Mounted Peltast can be increased from 587.5 to 1,012!

If you have 1,000 Mounted Peltasts in your City/Pantheon, upon improving their stats their overall Defense will increase from 587,500 to 1,012,000!

Thank you for reminding us of all the bonuses we can use. You wrote about mounted peltasts but I guess it's all the same for all kinds of units, isn't it ?

And what is the coalition bonus please ?

This article seems to imply that using more than one elixir with the same bonus (fx. defense vs light infantry) makes them stack, instead of choosing the highest one and only using that. The tool tips of the units indicates only ONE elixir is used, but I would hope they are all stacked. 


Can someone confirm or deny?

Not quite sure what you mean. There is no type of unit that you could apply two types of elixirs to since units are def. or off. in a specific category (light, heavy, ...).

Hi


I am slightly confused.

Currently I have Strength lvl6 for Offensive light infantry which seems to be straight forward.

I then have Resistance lv6 that covers "Defensive Light Infantry" but shows all 4 types light/heavy/phalanx/cavalry giving varying degrees of %''s, and finally my 3rd is Swiftness lvl6 covering "Defensive Cavalry" but again showing the 4 types again of %. Presumably you only get 1 buff not the 4 that it shows e.g. light 10%/heavy8%/Phalanx4.8%/cavalary3.25%.

Is this incorrect? 

Any advice gratefully received.

Excellent explanation.   


Just a quick question in the example the light infantry have 10%,  phalanx have 18%% also  heavy infantry shows 10% and the cavalry shows 18% seems at odds with what your saying re slightly more effective defending against light infantry and phalanx.


Should it not be the phalanx and cavalry or have I misunderstood?

maybe somebody could update it with the new bonuses that have appeared since then...capital discipline lvl20 + agreement lvl32 + general that can (theoretically) reach almost +70%, and the +20% thing earned from production buildings lvl 24 or 25, without even mentioning the +10 or 20 or even 50% from temporary defensive boosts...

mounted peltasts can be brought to a whole new level !

You could write your own guide with updated info ;)

I can't quite remember, indeed my comment appears in none of the 2 topics you found (though in the first one, there is the link to the same topic on the French forum, maybe it was there, but the link is not valid and I can't find the thread anymore), nevermind.

I can't vouch for the level 12 elixir values since I'm still working on those though I doubt that these have changed since Jan. 2016. Other values though are not included such as the Building Bonus (last 2 lumberyards and forges bonuses) since they simply didn't exist at the time (if I recall correctly).

If you view the details page of any of your units, you'll notice that all units have one offensive value, but four defensive ones. Units will always attack with their offensive strength regardless of the units they target, defensive units do better or worse when defending against a specific unit types. If you analyse your units you'll notice that they generally do better against units of their own type (although there are notable exceptions), that makes picking the right units for a job a challenge.

Since the eight elixirs apply to separate troop types (light, heavy, ...) and classes (off, def), they would not stack since it is not possible to apply two identical elixirs at the same time.The elixir bonuses of course will stack with other bonuses such as equipment.

Hello Archon,

I don't understand clearly what you mean either. But I can tell you for sure that there is only a single elixir for the defensive cavalry units.

And that's the swiftness elixir.

Personally I have level 10 elixir so I will explain it to you with my elixir.

As you can see that's the elixir for defensive cavalry units as I mentioned above. Once you use it on the sanctum of asclepius it will increase your defensive cavalry defense against light infantry by +23%, against heavy infantry by 18.4%, against phalanx by 10.4% and against cavalry by 8%.

So those are not different elixirs it's the same elixir but has various bonuses against various unit categories.

It's not an achivement.


It's just normal agreements upgrades. There's one for every unit you can build yourself (Sparta for Agema horsemen, etc.)

Coalition achievements give Coalition Bonuses.

If any coalition has level 10 Chosen of Zeus achievement, defense statistics of all units for every member will increase 5%
