The reported case cannot be classified as a bug since this is a part of the regular gameplay. Random generator implies that you can receive some articles more often than other.

One suggestion I can give you is to try to put the unwanted Articles in the market and I assure you soon enough you will have an exchange on those Articles.

All duplicates  can be exchanged with resources at any point in the game, this can be very useful for the fast rebuild of traps or even army or upgrade of any building when resources are short.

Stymphalos Articles of any level can be exchanged in Market  but also one trick to avoid receiving them and growing your chances to receive other Articles is to sign them as soon as possible, so you get the chance to get other Articles instead.
