Do you talk about defense walls ? Fortunately, the system didn't work ! 

I don't think the planning of your city and the delays are related. There can be many other reasons.

I noticed the more roads I build the more the system slows.  It sometimes takes minutes to send an archer to a friend.  I tried destroying some of my roads )(spent 15 minutes destroying 10 of them) then the system refused to save the changes.  Since it is so slow I am going to quit.  You can send me an email when you get it fixed and maybe I will return to the game.
