I'm not sure whether I got your question well, but if you mean that Defensive Buildings of level 6-10 look in the same way, there is no any mistake here.

It was done on purpose and it's even an advantage for defenders - their enemies don't know what Level of defense those actually have ;)

Like I said. Missed opportunity. As soon as one will notice lvl 6 defense at any base, they will keep their troops at home. For all one know you will hit lvl 10 base defense.

It's decision of a player. If he is not ready to fight in a war game, then maybe it's better to change the focus and be a more defense-oriented player.
