Hey, Grim Forest explorers! The core feature of the first winter RAID Digest (apart from its date being written and read equally for people across the globe, at last) is the Grim Forest and all the related clarifications and hints. So without further ado, let's get started!
(and probably as early as possible)
The Grim Forest has two Difficulty modes - Hard and Normal. Still, it is the Hard mode with which the Grim Forest starts by default, so check out the difficulty before venturing forth. If you find this content too challenging or too easy, you can switch modes at any time.
However, please note that while the Distorted Energy is shared between the difficulty modes, other Grim Forest resources, your Squad level, and all its bonuses are not. Oh, and by the way, we suggest you apply all your Grim Forest resources, like Grim Coins and Grim Gold, to your advantage throughout the current rotations, as neither the special Grim Forest resources nor the benefits they grant carry over to the next rotation.
What we do not recommend is disregarding dead-end points that appear to be empty on the map - there's still a chance of them containing a treasure chest or even a Grim Charm, the resource required to acquire a special Treasure Hunt Chest.
Unlike in the Siege mode, the state of the Champions chosen for the Grim Forest expedition does not remain fixed since the moment they've been set into a Grim Forest Deck. You can change their gear, Relics, Masteries, and Blessings at any moment to boost their battle capabilities. Actually, you may reconfigure these Champions almost in any way you want, including increasing their Level, Rank, ascending, and empowering them. However, due to the way the game works, you cannot sacrifice them or put them into a Sparring pit.
Additionally, we continue to monitor the Grim Forest's technical performance and your feedback, while addressing all the identified bugs. Please note that currently, if the Blessing Soul Reap is triggered in a fight against the Phrygius the Trovemaster boss under Goldplated layers, it may cause some game freezes or even application crashes for some users. We'll fix this bug in future updates.
Another point many of you have notified us about is the in-game Chat text lines that appear in the middle of the battle screen instead of at the very top after the 11.00 update. We changed the chat placement to accommodate all the UI elements in some of the Grim Forest fights. We are investigating further adjustments to ensure that chat does not impact your interaction with the game interface during combat.
The next installment of the CvC Tournament will feature Personal Rewards and will be the last event of this kind this year, as the next CvC Tournament after this one will unfold on January 13, 2026.
Thank you for reading! Have a great weekend!
