Update 10.45 is on its way, and we’ve got a major feature scheduled for release - Faction Wars Hard Mode. Read the Update Highlights we’ve prepared to learn more about this new difficulty, the challenges you’ll face, and the rewards you can expect - including a Mythical Champion and new Relics! - as well as some smaller additions we have in the pipeline.
At its core, the new Difficulty for Faction Wars works as you would expect: beat harder Crypt Stages and earn greater rewards. But it goes beyond fighting tougher enemies, so let’s take a closer look.
First, you won’t unlock Hard Mode until you’ve completed all Normal Difficulty Crypts with flying colors and claimed the final reward, Lydia the Deathsiren. If you do that, and we happen to release new Factions in the future, you’ll retain access to the Hard Difficulty regardless but will have to beat the hypothetical new Crypts on Normal before they become accessible on Hard. At the same time, you won’t have to worry about managing even more resources or the schedule - the old Crypt Keys work for both Difficulties, and the Crypt schedule will remain identical.
Dangerous foes will be the most obvious obstacle in your path. Expect much stronger Champion waves and powerful Bosses that await once you have dealt with the minions. These Tainted Crypt Keepers each have a specific focus, be it single-target destruction, revival and support, damage over time, and so forth. You’d be wise to read the in-game Boss Guides before pitting your Team against these foes, for they are far more deadly than before.
Faction Wars Hard mode keys
With the new patch coming on May 13th, Faction Wars Hard Mode will finally be unlocked. To make the most of it, we recommend saving your FW keys after the daily reset. This way, you'll be fully prepared to dive into the new Crypts and put your champions to the test as soon as the update is live (keys will not be renewed if they have already been used for the day).

We’re introducing a new reward chain to the Hard Mode. Like before, you earn Stars by completing Crypt Stages without losing any Champions, which unlocks various milestone goodies. However, completing a Stage without any losses will only net you 2 Stars this time. To get 3, you’ll need to fulfil a specific condition that will differ from one Stage to another.
These can include only killing enemies after stripping their buffs, not letting them heal even once, applying specific debuffs, and so forth. You’ll see what is required on the Team Selection screen before the Stage, or you can check it from the info tab by tapping the 3-Star conditions dropdown and finding the Stage you need.
We’ve ensured these requirements suit the Faction required to clear a specific Crypt, so you don’t have to worry about impossible tasks.
A higher Difficulty means generous rewards, and you’ll find plenty in the Hard Mode Faction Wars. Clearing stages will yield Artifact and Relic Crafting materials - more on that in the next section - and Glyphs, including Rank 6 Glyphs in Rare, Epic, and Legendary Rarities. These new Glyphs will be usable on all existing Stats that Glyphs cover and can only be used on Rank 6 Gear. The Stat bonuses they provide will be greater than what you’ve seen before, so save them for your best Gear!
Clearing Hard Mode Stages 7, 14, and 21 for the first time will provide one-time rewards on top of the usual yield. Finally, there are various prizes for the new Faction Wars Challenges. You can expect Shards, Soulstones, Skill Tomes, and a Mythical Champion at the end of the chain - Polara Fireheart. This PvP powerhouse will be well worth the effort, and we’ll release a dedicated Champion Spotlight covering her abilities on the official RAID YouTube channel in the near future.
As mentioned above, you can loot Relic Crafting Materials by beating Hard Mode Crypt Stages, and these will be needed to craft Relics belonging to the new Faction Wars Group. There will be 8 Relics in total: 2 Rare, 2 Epic, 2 Legendary, 2 Mythical.
We’re starting a closed test of the new Leaderboards feature and will provide additional information when they are ready to go live. When they do, you’ll be able to see the Top 100 players for all Arena Modes, 6 Dungeons, and the Top 3 players who excel at all these. All Leaderboards will be available in regional and global variants and will be refreshed regularly (once per week for Arena Modes and once per two weeks for the Dungeons).
Climbing to the top spots on these Leaderboards will earn you new Badges and Avatar Frames.
Instant Poison/HP Burn activation effects will be reworked. As of Update 10.45, the damage inflicted will account for buffs, debuffs, and other effects that increase, decrease, or otherwise affect Poison and HP Burn.
We’ll add 100 unlockable slots to the Champion Collection and 100 unlocked slots to the Reserve Vault
Honestly, I don't think the Mythical for Faction Wars is good enough, conditional HP Burn based on getting a kill negates a lot of her base form abilities unless you bring another HP burner, I don't think a reward for probably some of the hardest content in the game should be conditional like that, I think the champion should just place the HP Burn, if this change isn't made I genuinely don't think she's worth the effort, any other burner and freeze champ would be fine in her place

This is an amazing step in right direction for things players want. Love the new champs. Now to fix the other top 3 things that are really wrong with Raid:
1) Only top players can get mythical relic crafting gear. Live arena requires too much play to get the seasonal mythical chance. The only other place is through trials on chimera which requires specific champs like Galithir. On top of that the only place to get mythical gems is to win top 2 in chimera clash which is won by same people because they just get stronger each time since they are only ones getting the rewards.
2) Clan competition is driving players away from the game instead of creating community due to the imbalance.
3) The introduction of all the 9 piece sets have taken up WAY too much storage and becoming a major issue. A simple fix is to change accessories to alliance based vs faction. This allows more sales of items vs having to store more. Think of it 1600 spaces for 15 factions only allows for 106 spaces per faction. That will only get worse in time. Moving to alliance based reduces the load on server as well as not as much items need to be kept.

Is this supposed to have cut Zavia's damage in half? Against enemies without any buffs at all?
Can we expect a buff for her and Elenaril in the future to make up for their complete loss of use in this update?
