Needing help with deciding my clan boss team.

Hey all, so recently I have gotten pretty lucky with some shard drops like getting Occult Brawler, Steelskull, Jareg and others.

So at the moment this is my current team:

i

And what I wanted is to replace Kael for Occult Brawler, then for the 5th slot (Elhain) either have Steelskull or Jareg, as they both provide great support.

Or maybe I change someone else, any advice would be much appreciated!!

Having both FB and OB is overkill - there's a maximum of 10 debuffs on the CB, and you need some slots for decrease attack, decrease defense and FB's poison sensitivity. But replacing Elhain with Steelskull or Jareg, yes, that makes sense. If you have other champs who can ensure the def/attack down on the CB, they could replace Kael. You'll need Warmaster on all your long-term CB champions - FB or OB, Skullcrusher, Jareg/Steelskull. Apo will get swapped out sooner or later as well.

I have Stag Knight also.

Most players using a Counter Attack Champion - Speed Tune there set up.

Counter Attack is a buff which last for 2 turns.

If your heroes move to fast, The CA buff will expire before the Clan Boss hits you.

You don't want your heroes move fast because you will not gain the full benefit of the CA Buff.

You want your heroes to move in sync with the Clan Boss.

Turn 1 - Your heroes Hit CB + Gain CA Buff for 2 turns.

- Clan Boss AOE hits you.

- Your heroes Counter Attack back to hit Boss.

Turn 2 - Your heroes Hit CB + CA Buff 1 turn remaining

- Clan Boss AOE hits you.

- Your heroes Counter Attack Back to hit Boss

Turn 3 - Your heroes Hit CB + CA Buff expires

- Clan Boss does Single Target hit.

At this point, The entire cycle starts over.

Your Skullcrusher Counter Attack is on a 3 turn cool down.

The Clan Boss has 3 moves which he does.

The set up should always play out like I said above.

This is how your team gains the full benefit of the Counter Attack Buff.

When you speed tune, You don't want any Turn Meter Filling.

You don't want any heroes who can Fill Turn Meter.

You don't want any masteries which Fill Turn Meter.

The set up you are doing is on a 3 turn rotation.

It is an endless rotation till your team dies.

Any Turn meter Filling can cause your heroes to take extra turns.

It will throw them off your rotation which you are trying to set up.

For Nightmare CB, You want your heroes to move between 171 to 189 speed.

For Ultra Nightmare CB, you want your heroes to move between 191 to 209 speed.

Your Counter Attack Champion should move last in the set up.

They will often be the one with 171 speed or 191 speed depending on the mode you hit.

____________________________________________________________________

After explaining all of the above, The next thing I will say shouldn't come as a shock to you.

Apothecary shouldn't be in your team composition.

You should only use 1 Poison hero Steelskull or Frozen Banshee.

The one you use will depend on the Clan Boss Affinity.

If the Clan Boss is Force, You should use Steelskull.

If the Clan Boss is Magic or Spirit, You should use Frozen Banshee.

If the Clan Boss is Void, You can use either one.

You should add Jareg to your set up.

Jareg Atk Down is on his A1 move which is more reliable vs. Stag Knight

You should also try fusing Rhazin.

Rhazin does Def Down + Weaken.

Rhazin will replace Stag Knight.

___________________________________________________________________

Your ideal set up would be:

- Jareg

- Rhazin

- Frozen Banshee or Steelskull

- Flex Spot

- Skullcrusher

The Flex Spot hero can be several different things:

It can be a Shield Champion to help your team stay alive longer.

It can be a Healing Champion to help your team stay alive longer.

It can be a Debuff Extender Champion to make your debuffs stay up on CB longer.

It can be a Buff Extender Champion to make your buffs stay up longer.

It can be a Damage Dealer Champion which puts out a lot of psychical damage on CB.

It can be a Cleasning Champion which removes the Stun from your heroes.

It can be a Block Debuff Buff Champion to prevent the Stun going on your heroes.

And that is all.

Have a Nice Day!

Replace Stag Knight with Jareg, Replace Apothecary with Rhazin and you're all set. Don't worry too much about running both Steelskull and FB, since Steelskull would only be a secondary poisoner and will be on the lineup primarily for the def up and debuff cleanse.

Eventually you'd probably be replacing Steelskull with a debuff extender, and you'd be tuning Jareg 4:3, but that should do for now.
