Hey Shag: Assuming you can't contact them anywhere else, you'd either have to see them chatting in game somewhere and click on their name to send an invite that way. You could also see their name somewhere in certain places like Classic Arena and send an invite that way as well. 

That's assuming they don't try to apply back by searching your clan in game, too.
