Doomtower boss Borgoth activates it's easy prey skill (should use it only if attacker doesn't have shield -works ok for other heros equipped with rings that give shield after attacking ) when attacked by my Cagebound default skill even though he has a shield Buff

Can you get a video at all?
Perhaps his shield A1 is placed AFTER he hits Borgoth, that is how it looks like it should operate in Cagebound's skill. That means it would trigger the CA unfortunately.
With a video we could see for sure. :)

Other 3 heroes on the team have bloodshiled rings equipped. Rings description states 'gives wearer Shield worth of 5% damage dealt AFTER attacking' and whole trio does not trigger Borgoth's counterattack. It's kinda similar to what Cagebound skill gives and it seems inconsistent
I just checked and Cagebound gets his shield from A1 when starting his attack. He already has it when hitting his target.
