I moved everyone to the Valut and back and now the update works....

Glad to hear it worked out.

For everyone else: This is a known bug and is currently being worked on. Best suggestion currently is to try using a different device - if possible, for now.

I can't upgrade a character's rank from 4 to 5

Same issue, different device did not work for me.

I'm experiencing this bug as well.

I also have this issue at the moment, very upsetting as I just spent some cash to be able to do this upgrade. 5* khael wont let me upgrade despite having all the food

Thank you for the reply, is there a place we can track the known bugs to see updates on when they might be worked on? My progress is a little halted at the moment.

Generally speaking the best place to find those updates are in the notes for big patches in https://plarium.com/forum/en/raid-shadow-legends/843_news/ after fixes have gone live, or in the official Discord server. Usually timelines/specific updates about fixing issues like this one aren't given out, until they're finished though. 

That said, the patch that happened a few hours ago should fix the rank up issue. 

I'm having the same issue as of today. Vault solution and device solution tried and failed.

I tried clearing cache, deleting and re installing, played on my chrome book and even downloaded the pc client, the issues remains across the board 🤦
