I have been watching closely and I have been getting double tournament points for defeating the ice golem but my totals are not going up correctly. Sometimes I just get the first count and sometimes not at all. Just thought I would let you know. This game is awesome.

Are you perhaps getting confused with CvC points popping up and Ice Golem points? Is it perhaps a lag in the points showing up properly in the tournament page?
Keep an eye on it and feel free to contact support if you feel there's an issue but I'm inclined to believe it's a mixup of some sort due to there not being known issues about tournament points.
So what you are saying is the second set of tournament points are for the CVS points and the 1st is for the ice golem. That makes sense I will check it out.
