I'm new here and still finding my way around.

I have some feedback on the forum, but I can't post there, so I'll do it here.

there are loooooots of rules at this forum, which I guess may be needed, but it really doesn't make the forums a welcoming place for newcomers.

one rule, which I must have missed is about necro posts. In other forums I visit, you should search before posting, and if there is already a topic open you should post there rather than starting a new one.

I believe this is also a requirement of the forum rules which say "2.3. Users are responsible for ensuring that all comments and posts are in line with the discussion topics. Failure to comply may result in such submissions being removed, and the user in question may be subject to banning."

I have made a couple of posts on existing threads on the same topic, but they keep getting shut down by moderators.

im not trying to be a smart ass or anything.

am I doing something wrong? Is there a rule I missed about necro posts?
