...in chat box. It behaves almost like it thinks the keyboard is a separate app popping up, causing the sound to cut out. As soon as I close the keyboard (not the chat screen), sound returns as normal.

Playing on Samsung Galaxy s8+. I've tried restarting mobile, deleting data and cache and reinstalling, deleting entirely and reinstalling, as well as checking if any settings have been changed. Nothing has worked.
