You do want speed, cause you want Vogoth to reliably keep leech up and going. His heal on hits are not enough to keep the team up all by themselves.

You also want to speed tune the team, and when you do that all 5 champ speeds are important. I can look in these other threads and see what was recommended in there.

Looks like this is the roster.... I agree with Kram's and Thorne's recomendation to run Jhareg, Vogoth, Venomage and Ninja as our core team.

However, I get what you mean that it will be a while before you get there. :) Building that first solid CB team is a great thing to invest in though. You'll keep seeing improvements as you build Vogoth, then Venomage. Hopefully by the time you finish Jhareg for Ally Protect, you'll pull a Block Debuffs champ like Grizzled Jarl that will round out the team. :)

I'd use Giscard for the 5th slot as he brings decrease ATK, shield, INC DEF and INC ATK.

I think we're in pretty good shape on damage mitigation save for a block debuffs champ, like Quinn mentioned. In most ways Jareg alone does Giscard's job better, especially given how strong Ally Protection is. 

Think if we wanted more mitigation while trying to find a better fifth champ I'd go Ursala, or go Kalvalax for a DPS option.
