I'm hearing people talk about there being some changes on how many losses are being registered on Gold.

As far as announcements, I don't remember ANY loss quota in Gold being announced, so I don't see any accouncements being made this time, but perhaps we'll see something in the Weekly Digest today.

Prior to this, it was mentioned, perhaps not officially, that losses in Gold are capped at 12 per 24 hours and anedoctally, i can attest to that. 

Well, now, it is way more than that and i have counted more than 20. 

So once again, our dear Plarium had gone and done a ninja on us in order to stop us from helping each other with the 1-man defences. It really sucks. I know that it may sound disingenous but i felt really dirty when i had to switch off 1-man for those few hours while i recouped the points and get into a comfortable range. 

I am back to doing my 1-man and from what i can see, out of the 20+ players who took the points and "W", less than 3-4 players are helping out with a 1-man themselves....

I don't know where you are, geographically.  But remember that Plariums new day starts at 6 AM New York time.  It could be that their day started in the middle of yours, so it looked like 20 losses in one day, but could have been 8 in one day and 12 in the next.

Anecdotally, clanmates of mine are confirming this, OP. Curious if others have seen the same thing.

My battle log only goes back 8 hours and 12 losses.  The time frame does not match a Plarium day.  

Noticed yesterday that the 100-200 point range near Plat was filled with far, far more real defenses than the prior months. Decided to switch to a one man defense to test it out and got smacked 22 times since yesterday's reset.

So yeah, it seems like we're heading back towards uncapped losses. 

I think with a one-man defense, you'll get smacked at about a rate of once per hour, overall. I've counted 24-hr periods of 28 losses, others of 20-ish... So as long as you win most of the 39 free runs you get each day, you'll keep moving away from the floor, but never quite reach the other level.

If your goal is to go in plat, 1-man team is not the way to do it. If your goal is to NOT go into plat, then why not? Just gotta make sure to run all the tokens they give you to stay on the plus side.

By the way, my team ain't that strong. And yet, after a bit of a break (had to break for a month or two), i was back in bronze 1. And it took me just under 4 days to reach gold 5, without using any rubies to recharge tokens. I suspect most people below gold barely do 10 each day, and even in gold, i think most people can't spend all their free tokens every day, so if you do, you can quickly advance.

Feels like a way to disuade 1-2 man teams for defense ... which i do find sad cuz i love facing them and giving others free wins in gold ... help each other progress GH :P

Arena is occasionally made easy for a bit, but then slowly gets more and more tough again. :(

I feel you just have to pick your fight , i did not see a difference between using a 1 man team vs a full team , i face 1 man team here and there ... just gotta be there for those refresh to increase the odds to win win win ..

Tho i would rly enjoy something that encourage 1 man defense since that does help the overall playerbase ...

I was one of the beneficiaries of the 1-man D. crowd and the minute i was in Gold, i ran 1-man D. all the way for the past 3-4 months. 

I will still, stubbornly, run 1-man although on occasion, i would have to switch to a normal arena defense to staunch the bleeding...

Hopefully, people would do the same...

The point is that Plarium had slid in a patch for Gold level Classic Arena and there is no longer a 12 game loss cap / quota. 

Personally, i will try and keep up my 1-man defence for as long as possible and my sincerest apologies to everyone if i have to switch off for a while to staunch the bleeding.

This is the Arena. Some lose,some win. But now the Arena is super easy, that's not good. Im reached Gold with a lvl35 charater without a hitch, without any legendary or without any arena god. Was simple with High Khatun lead and Kael.

Your picture is defense loses. What is your defense team ? Maybe your team is bad builded. But i think, the pvp loss quota what you talk about it, its a bad solution for very easy win to players. Learn how can build a good team for Arena, not a Plarium solution need for this.

We all knew this was going to happen sooner or later. It was a temporary fix to a permanent problem. I stopped putting 1 man defense weeks ago, as soon as I saw they're upping the loss cap above 10. Plus, so few are doing it in upper G5, you see just pages and pages of OP defenses with an occasional 1man, maybe once or twice a day. And then there's the Platinum drop-outs,  with their Warlords and Nekreths. So I said f- this, if they're not doing it, neither will I.
