I decided to go for the guaranteed champion. In my view he can help me with Bommal the Dreadhorn and Iragoth the Eternal Dragon. Currently, I use Helior as a leader to use his resistance aura but he does not provide anything meaningful to both fights. So therefore I hoped that Raf-Matab could be an upgraded. For the eternal dragon the A1 and A3 are interesting for me and for Bommal it is his A3, reflecting the damage and increasing the resistance.
So after pulling the 120 ancient shards I have now more options.
I knew that I was close the mercy and my mercy legendary champion is Nethril. To my own surprised I got another legendary besides Nethril and the guaranteed champion. I was super lucky to be honest because I got Brogni. Finally, I got him because I was unable to get him due to a lack of ressources from the fusion last year.
Therefore, it was a good idea to pull for Raf-Matab, but I do not know if I will use him after receiving Brogni.
This guaranteed champion was a skip for me. I have enough shards (about 140) but the champion wouldn't add any value to my account, and those shards were going to be better used in a 2x event during a fragment/fusion. That said, I do think 120 ancients for a legendary is a pretty good deal and hopefully this helped a lot of accounts get another lego to their roster
I ended up doing it, though didn't think it was smart. Pulled a dupe gamuran in 1st 10 and nothing until 120. Without a buff, probably will sit in vault.
My reasoning was that I would have spent 10x the resources and 1000x the effort if it was a fusion champ. So 5 minutes and 120 shards made sense... 😆
