He's a good farmer, yeah. He kinda falls off in other areas, but he can totally be your campaign farmer forever.

I farm 12-3 brutal with Ithos in 5 sec. Can he beat that?

Fellhound is my 12-3 brutal 5 second farmer.  Easy(ish) to get, easy to build.

Very doubtful. You're not up against any real boundary. Simply system-imposed ones due to animations/etc.

Maybe if you gear someone with real high ATK and no crit rate, to shave off some time on crit animations?

5 seconds for Ithos and Fellhound are the fastest in the game right now. And that is usually with a decent PC.

if you're farming slow running food champs it can be 6 or 7 seconds, so i think 5 is probably the max.

Haven't had that champion, yet. Guess I'll see, eventually.

The best farming is when you in the same time upgrade all 4 champs. ;)

It takes a bit longer but none of the exp goes to waste.

This is only really a valid strategy if you actually have four champs that you plan on using, IE, that you can gear up. It is definitely *not* worth equipping food with gear just to level the four of them together, for a few reasons. For starters, you'll be unlikely to be able to farm much higher than Hard on campaign, at least initially - so you're at a significant experience deficit. Secondly, equipping those champs with gear takes time and, more importantly, silver.

he would be a lot better, if we could set script AI of a champion with no bound to the team :) but as it is now, hound require too good of an artifacts to be better than my 1st 60 - kael :(

I'm not quite sure what you mean by your first point because you can set AI, but I don't think Fellhound is too rough when you're aiming to make him a 5-7 second farmer. The caveat is of course you'll need to be at a point in the game where you can gear like that, but I think given the parameters it's not too bad. I wouldn't suggest him as a first 60, either. 

Don't need >120 speed - and iirc that might even be overkill - capped crit rate, ~225% crit damage and ~6200 combined attack/defense. 

To me, one of the biggest things Fellhound has going for him is unlike some of the other campaign farmers, at some point you're unlikely to use him really anywhere else. So having that low speed won't cost you a champ you might want to use in other content.

I think he means that, according to him, to use Fellhound effectively, you need to use custom AI settings (likely to turn off his A2 and A3), which means you need to spend much more time configuring your food team.

My guess is that requirement only exists because his gear isn't up to par. Usually champs like Fellhound (or Sinesha, for example) will only use their alternate abilities if their internal math decides the A1 won't clear the wave.

Also, just to quote that last point - that specifically is why I generally do not advocate building out champs like Fellhound, if you have another option. It's much better to build out a champ that can do the farming, but still have outside value - such as Skullcrown or Big'Un. 

Fair point. I opted to go with Rae - and previously Big Un' - myself for similar reasons. I think a lot of it comes down to timing, when you have that opportunity to build out a champ for a hyper specific role and how much you value it. 

In the case of Fellhound there can be an application in Faction Wars before hitting the bench, though.

That said, I've never gotten around to messing with a new farmer because there's never really an end to champs I want to build out since Hydra demands dupe epics. :)

fellhound is a rare - easy to get, cheap to book

doesn't need full masteries, just a few.  and the gear is simple imo. mine is in broken sets, just leftover gear.

he only needs like 10-20 speed, so you can use atk% boots. makes the requirements even easier. the build is 110 speed, 100%cr, 6200 combined def+atk.  defense AND attack stats count.  makes it a lot easier to reach.  and mine has like 190%cd, dunno what you actually need there.  since masteries aren't super important, you can make up for a lot of the stats you're lacking on there.  

i think i built him out 4-5 months in and had him down to a consistent 5 seconds by 6 months in, occasionally he would take 2 shots at the final wave at first.  compare that to my starter champ that was doing 30-40 second runs.

there's not a single other champion in this game i would build with only 110 speed and plan on using them in ANY other content.  he makes a great dedicated 5 second farmer.

regardless of the route you guys go, building a 5 second farmer was the best decisions i've made in this game.

Was doing it with Big 'Un in 19 sec and was very satisfied. Then I saw HH video with Ithos. Became a no brainer 🙂
