It was given to make up for the empty team bug DT had after the update, so it makes sense to me.  Will it effect most people?  no.  will it make up for the few who had issues for a day?  yea.

Right. Already took DT as far as I can so gold keys are worthless. Is there any thought given to compensation?

I can understand the other guys that had issues and maybe this was meant to make up for them.  But yeah, even if you can complet both diffuculties all this will do is get you finish 1 day sooner and you'll still end up with several days worth of gold keys you can't use lol.  Maybe this was a very contextual compensation.

Will be nice to be able to finish a day early. Doom Tower, especially Hard 110-120 is a HUGE time sink. Auto teams stop working, every level takes a long time to finish.

Last rotation I completed a decent amount of Normal just by finishing one or two Hard evels each day, then using the other 8-9 keys on Normal Doom Tower. Think I will save these 10 keys for a day in the next week when I have time, and just use them to push Normal a bit faster.

I did hard first this time so when I got to those last levels I could take my time and use any extra keys every day on normal mode.  Leaves the option to completely switch to normal until the weekend to work on the walls you get too on hard, and that last week of DT isn't stressfull.

Only downside is I'm stuck on a mission to complete all normal secret rooms lol.

Yes, exactly what I was saying. Hard first until you start getting stuck, then do a level or two of hard each day and use the rest on normal. And tinker away at Secret Rooms as you can. *shrug* Some of them are definitely Stun Set RNG: The Game

Oops, forgot to do DT. 

It would be more usefull if Plarium gived everyone one (1) energy than this useles keys. At least u could use that one energy.
