It's right up there with cure set. These are the only two sets I don't even bother looking at, just sell. Stun is so much better and even freeze is significantly better for CC. I can imagine if you use mostly single target champs and manual it can be fairly useful.
I suppose I should start looking at the individual pieces to see if I can get some multirolls on speed as one off pieces. Maybe when there's more storage.
Yeah, sleep set can be useful if you have a champ who can one-shot enemies. You get a much better debuff chance with sleep than stun but of course the drawback is enemies will wake back up as soon as they're attacked. I wouldn't buy sleep gear but you'll get plenty of it from dungeon farming. Shield set can be super useful for a new-ish account, I would and did buy a shield set from the market early on.
It's garbage if you're using auto-play, because the AI doesn't avoid attacking "sleeped" targets. An attack on a sleeped target wakes it up and the turn meter picks up where it left off--so there's no turn lost. This also happens with AOE attacks, meaning sleep isn't even all that great if you're playing manually.
Stun is much better, because a stunned target can be attacked.
Still, it's good idea to keep at least one good sleep set in storage (in case Plarium decides to de-garbage it some day), but otherwise you're pretty much safe to auto-sell it. Fury, destroy, and curing are also... Unpopular.
As the dragon (which everybody farms for speed and, to a lesser extent, accuracy gear) drops sleep gear, you'll be getting a lot of it. Keep an eye out for strong pieces that you can use, mismatched, on your second string champions. Don't worry about completing the set, though, because it's pretty crappy, verging on useless.
I sell every single sleep piece I get. Sleep, Curing, Cursed and one or two others (like the counterattack on crits) are autosell.
It's just easier to put those terrible ones as autoyeets than have to think about them.
hard agree.
one of the biggest issues I find when trying to complete sets like this is that they're four piece while doing nothing to buff stats, anywhere. that's a huge drawback.
if i'm keeping daze pieces, it's probably because it looks like this.

I MIGHT have a 6 star, legendary, well rolled piece from one of the above sets somewhere, but I have doubts. lol
I will roll any 6star lego with good substats, regardless of set.
Curing I've heard is actually useful, similar to regen but in only a few niche cases. Have not investigated further.
Destroy is obviously a must for scarab, and somewhat useful elsewhere.
Retaliation is amazing, avenging less so but still decent.
Cursed. Could be useful if a need arises for heal reduction against some boss with crazy resistance or it gets buffed to 100pct
Daze. Would need a major buff to be useful imo, for reasons mentioned above.
I've heard players swear by avenging in arena, stating that a very high percentagle of hits are critical. Haven't tried it myself, but it does seem that CRate is among the priorites in arena teams.
Yes, avenging good for go 2nd team. But I'd rather use the accessories and avoid the critical hits :)
This is one of the few spots I've seen Curing used:
