they appear around certain events/seasons/themes 

usually they first appear in social media platforms such as fb/insta/discord

Right here on the forum, pinned near the top of discussions. When there's a new one, someone usually posts it there within an hour.

Any code that you see that's not released from the official media sources, in other words, raid Shadow Legends official accounts. Maybe old. I picked up a promo code from Pocket Novels from a YouTube source and even though the code worked, it didn't give the character it said it would give. I confirmed the code exists but it was sent out back in 2024 so the code was quite old..  That wasn't Raid Shadow Legends fault. Just the code was old. So be warned.
