They've introduced so many new ones that just aren't fit for anything other than food the chance of pulling a good one has markedly decreased

If you don't get a good one they'll hope you spend trying for one, nothing they do isn't financially motivated 

It's harder to get a good champion, because they don't add good rares anymore. When I started the game a year ago, I pulled Apothecary quite early. That is a gamechanger to an early account. Apothecary is still there, but the total number of rares increased so much, the chance to pull a champ like Apo is rather low.

On the other hand, a lot epics they added in the last year are really good. Just think about Demytha or Magnarr. The chance that an epic really feels epic now is much higher, I think most "bad epics" are old champs. Really bad epics like Yaga or Tainix don't join anymore.

 We need at least a few genuinely good rares a year. They don't have to be as good as Coldheart but they should at least be as good as Warmaiden, Apothecary, Frozen Banshee or Reliquary Tender. With so many unplayable champions being introduced into the game it's really undermining the value of shards which are less and less about getting fun new champions from pulls and more like a currency you spend to complete fusions. It's getting unbalanced.

One thing I do feel the need to mention - today is not a 2x day. If you created this thread because you used your shards today - you are making a big mistake. You should, almost without exception, never be using shards outside of a 2x weekend.

Lat weekend i pulled four shards, got deacon, umbra, abess..not bad for 4 shards

Two of my clan mates pulled krisk during this 10x..yes i am jealous

If yoy are aiming for more epics or lego i suggest pull it when 2x. 10X event is for specific champion but also if you do know that you are close to mercy.
