I just started playing the game and I was wondering why it always says I don't have an champ with an aura selected before I start a mission when the champions I select do actually have them in the skills? For example I use Jizoh and his aura is Increases Ally ATK in "ALL BATTLES" by 18% yet I'm always told "warning no aura selected" This makes zero sense to a new player like myself? Thanks for reading!
You put the guy with aura skill in the first slot
Yeah it's not obvious but one one of the slots specifically reads Leader, that's where it needs to go.
Something to note - the aura applies to *base* stats. So while it is important, don't make it more of a priority than it needs to be. Typically the ones which matter most are Speed and Crit Rate auras.

Related question....does it matter if the Aura is in the leader spot or not? I understand that's how the game reads it, but does the aura skill not work if it is not in the leader spot or does that message just come up because of programming?

The aura only works if it's in the leader spot.
