How does the Scrapper affinity neants face the beetle affi green with 101 critical chance, the shield that pops on the condition that he does a critical hit and that on his A1 and A2, does not pop?
Scrapper is void, so he can't have weak affinity vs anything. As long as you have sufficient critical rate, you should always get a shield buff from his A2. The only situations I can think of where you wouldn't only applies to PvP scenarios.
And his A1, because HIS 2 blows that procured such a critical shield and with 101 critical chance on him, I don't understand why he sometimes does NOT have this shield
As you don't tell us anything about the situation when he doesn't get his shield, we can only guess.
Possible reasons could be block buffs debuff on him or decrease crit chance debuff on him or, in PvP, reaction artifacts on the target (chance to transform a recieved critical hit into a normal hit).
/edit: But as the Scarab King has neither block buffs nor decrease crit debuff and probably doesn't wear reaction artifacts, it remeinas mysterious.

I think I found: it is the interaction between Vergis and Scrapper which poses a problem, I made 3 runs replacing Vergis by another and I had no problem, to see but ........
