Because mysteries were for food champs

You'll be pulling literally thousands of mystery shards over time in this game, and you'll get those rolls often, and you won't mind them when you start upgrading them purely to sacrifice to rank up other champs (ie: "food").

I don't think anyone expects a decent champ they plan on keeping from mystery shards.

Mystery shards only exist to produce food-champs you need to level up your real champs. 

The champs you use are gained from other shards or even as daily rewards. At day 180 (!) you get Scyl of the Drakes, a legendary barbarian as free login-reward. The game is supposed to be played for a long time. You are lvl 15 and probably just a few days in the game.

Not gonna troll you... but you are expecting a lot WAAAAAY TOO EARLY.  It takes time to build in this game, it is NOT an instant gratification game.  Some people play for months before getting their first legendary.  

Additionally, you are only using the common shards, and 95% are going to be common pulls.  You will have good days and not so good day... just ride it out... you will get there.

Just because somebody doesn't agree with you and tries to show you why; it doesn't mean or make him a troll.  He was trying to help you not troll you. 

Truth of the matter was that you are expecting too much (early game) and to quickly toss out the p2w easy button at your point in game progression was a bit of an overreach.  Is the game p2w, yes.  Are you being held back by the p2w aspect of the game, nope, not that early in the game.  Paywalls are coming; but you haven't slammed into them yet.

I might grant them their wish and close the thread :)
