Running soider with kael, sicia, apoth, dhukk, and coldheart. Currently leveling MM and Mordecai, but currently have food for only 1 to 6...plan on replacing kael in that spider team to try to push progression..whose kit will have more immediate inpact for me at 13? Heals debuff removal and incewased def or mordecai's Tm control?

I suspect that based on the wording in the final sentence around heals, debuff removal and increased defense, it's Mausoleum Mage.
If it was Miscreated Monster then I would also recommend that as well. With regards to Mordecai, you already have Sicia bringing HP Burn so I'm not sure you want a second champ filling the same role?

It is mausoleam mage. hp burn would overlap and maybe i am thinking about it wrong but it seems like the two skills that manipulate turn meter would be worth having the overlap.
Are you able to 1 shot mother spider with your set up?
No, i am still at around 1min 30 on spider 12
If your not able to 1 shot, you need a tank.
You can go Protection + Tank
or
You can go with Crowd Control + Tank
