actually the Less the Item ,, the Less it takes to max them ...

So a 1 star commom can probably be maxed out with One 1 star glyph ...

The mission specifically asks for a five-star glyph. Any chance you have a graph or chart or anything to demonstrate what those max stats are based off the item?

Okay - so after doing some more research, it appears as though the substat doesn't actually matter - the [MAX] tag shows up if you rolled the highest roll on that particular glyph.

I don't think so. The [MAX]-tag does not appear when the max level of a particular glyph can be increased with a higher glyph. Otherwise their should be tons of that tag from low level glyphs on all items.

That leads to the fact that you can get the tag from a 5*-glpyh only in 5*-artifacts.

Yeah I wasn't clear - I meant the highest you could get from any glyph, not the highest from that particular rank of glyph.

I just wanted to point out that's impossible to do that quest with a 5* glyph on a 6* arftifact. Just to prevent that a forum-necromancer revives that thread one year in the future and writes "the quest is bugged, I used thousand 5*-glyphs and still no tag 😭".

It's certainly a wonky mission. I would hope that in the future they re-word it to be more clear. I would guess the reason for the 5* glyph on 6* artifact not working, is because a 6* glyph can give you a higher substat roll. The reason it works on a 5* artifact is because you cannot use 6* glyphs on 5* artifacts?

It should work, yes. Still need a max roll for the glyph from rng to complete, of course.

So if you're just trying to complete the quest... go with 1 star glyphs on 1 star gear. :) 

One star glyph on a one star item does not work been tested

Unfortunately the mission specifically calls for 5-star glyphs or greater :/ I would expect 6-star on 6-star item would work as well.

Let's move onto the new Missions. Recently, with the help of your reports, we spotted a new bug on the mission 305: rightfully earned points for maxed out substats sometimes do not count towards the progression. We are working on the fix, and it will be released in 4.30 update. 

I thought it was just lagging, and/or I miscounted.  Luckily I had tons of flat stat glyphs so not sure if I overshot or not.  

I'm more pissed I don't have a fragment champion to summon (until I finish Ruel) so I'll be stuck with a 15000 event pt bogey...

Anyone have a link to the second page of new missions, curious as to how soon I will be stuck needing gold Tag (and if this is retro?) or a specific FW21 done.
