First of all having a legendary or many in a team doesn't make it superior to a classic f2p team like High Kathun, Apoth, WarMaiden, Kael ( provided it's properly built )
An announcement will be made after the release of patch 4.20 for the upcoming arena fix which should also come in teh month of may , so hopefully things should be better soon.
The players are all between level 46 and 54, so probably 30-90 days of playing game? Only 1 team has more than 1 legendary and that is probably the worst comp on the page. Nothing shocking here besides the 49 gold medals you have.
ok, chill bro, i got those gold medals years ago. and now i back for this game and i cant even do bronze 3...

Thanks bro. looking forward to it
Why do complainers always include "fully ascended" when describing unfair opponents?
They might actually have masteries, too! And god forbid, leveled some gear to +16!!
Blasphemy, I say!
jez, bro...chill out.
"full ascended" isn't unfair, however imo "fully ascended" in bronze is. i dont know how long u have been playing this game but did u see that many "fully ascended" when u first time entered in arena?
Being ascended, legendary, high player power in the grand scheme of things doesn't mean much. I agree arena is a bit rough at the moment especially for newer players, but at the same time a well tuned arena team will beat a high player power gaggle of maxed champs almost everytime. I was having this same discussion with clanmates as I was playing on my alt who's also in Bronze III almost Bronze IV as I just fought a 137k fully ascended team of epics and legendaries with my 79k team and won. It's possible to win, it just isn't a cake walk as it was a month ago. Keep grinding some gear and the arena wins will come with or without a huge rework to the system.

Yes, I agree its totally possible. however those "fully ascended teams" doesn't mean they r bad arena team, right? Normally a team with high rank champion , better gear, reasonable setup would have better chance to win. So if bronze full of team like this it kind of put any new guy in disadvantage and make it less fun to play, right
and iam not even f2p
So you have gold medals wich probably means you are playing for quite some time now. And you cannot beat those teams?? Iam playing not even 2 months and iam beating those. What is your team? What is your roster? There might be some user errors instead ;)
But yeah as a newer player I cannot tell but reading all the comments the past months it seems arena is getting quite a bit harder for newer players yeah.
So many ways of improving (by Plarium) on the system like mission quest requirements, matchmaking on account power (excl vault units), removing inactive accounts etc. Really interested in seeing the change Rufus Shinra is talking about.

Why perpetuate the myth that luck in pulls isnt important?
If someone has apoth and HK as their turn meter champs they are at an automatic disadvantage to someone with an arbiter or a deacon or a lyssandra as turn meter or kymar as a speed lead with all else being equal as they simply offer bigger bonuses or do their job better by offering multiple buffs/debuffs at the same time
Yes grinding till your eyes bleed (gear) is very important- gear is equally important to champs.
And it helps to not be an idiot in team composition, but can we stop pretending that the champs you are lucky enough to pull or pay for are unimportant?. The casino that is shard pulling is a major factor and the chances of getting a game changer in that casino is enhanced by whaling.

Again, why perpetuate this myth?
Most people know the principles of a speed nuking team, and know what gear to equip, it isnt some sort of ultra skillful thing- its pretty basic. Ensuring your team go in the right order isnt some sort of skillful thing either, again everyone knows how to do that
And many will use a calc to try and avoid cut ins.
So putting aside idiots who dont even know the basics- success depends on two things
Firstly- how good your gear is (and someone who buys tonnes of speed gear will win here over someone who just farms dragon / fire knight)
And secondly how well the champs you have on your roster do their jobs, and in that case the top epic /legendary champs absoloutely are better at doing their jobs than the classic ftp champs.

You're taking my comment out of context and strawmanning it to the extreme, I merely mentionned having legendaries, not specific ones. Of course luck is a huge factor in this game it's one of the most important core mechanics if not the most important. But You can have all the luck in the world with your pulls, if you don't know what to do with them a completely f2p unlucky player who has strong knowledge of the game and healthy farming habits will still beat you.

I am not really strawmanning as you wrote
'having a legendary or many in a team doesn't make it superior to a classic f2p team '
Which- with all else being equal (sensible composition and gear) is not true
But, yes if the person with a brilliant roster is an idiot they will still lose- i agree with you on that so will leave it there :)
Enjoy your weekend :)
The issue is assuming that people with good champions can't also do the exact same thing you're doing. Yes, you may run into a team full of legendaries by a player with no clue how to use them, but that's not going to be the norm. Winning a fight against that team means nothing in the long run, because on average you'll face people who aren't hopelessly incompetent. While skill isn't irrelevant, Raid doesn't have the strategic depth required for it to be a deciding factor over getting lucky with champions and gear. All other things being equal, your cookie-cutter SH/WM/HK/starter will get slaughtered by a team of legendaries by virtue of raw stats alone, unless you start relying on best-case scenarios.
102 days in, I'm in the middle of G1 with 60 medals to my name at the moment, and I can tell you without a doubt that the only reason for that is a) Serris and b) Candraphon (perhaps also c) Minaya to a lesser extent), and there was no skill involved in getting them and I would argue very little in putting the team together. Although, technically, I suppose you could call manipulating my player power to get through bronze/silver skill if you want, but I'd disagree.
Mr Wilson, I would venture you overstate the importance of luck/rng.
I always say gear > champs, and it is not even close.
You can get good gear with only time or money, but intelligence/strategy/optimization are pretty critical unless you are gonna spend a crapload.
Gear is definitely hugely important, which is why plarium sells the epic speed gear for silly prices and im sure people buy it..
But so are champs - top champs just do a better job in their roles. And your roster is based on luck or whaling to improve that luck.
As for strategy? well there is some at the top end yes, when everyone has stacked rosters to pick from.
But for simple strats such as building the speed nuke team everyone advises it is very simplistic and its frustrating that people keep suggesting it is somehow deep and strategic, because it is not.
I hope you also enjoy your weekend, thank god work is almost done for the week :)
