There are really a lot of very good Void champs, especially some of the epics and rares are outstanding in their tier: Cardinal, Skullcrown, Madame, Maneater, Seer, Peydma, Coldheart.
On the other hand, some of them are as average or bad as any other champ. Nobody sings an ode to joy getting Arbalester, Vanguard or Exemplar in a Void Shard.
I don't know if this is just luck, but most of my best champs are all void. I've heard a lot of players say that there are more highly rated champs in the void affinity pool, I can't say it is true for certain.
There are good voids, but lots of trash voids, some awful void epics too...which is bad given the scarcity of voids compared to ancients
Out of the dozens of voids ive pulled i hardly kept / use any
i use coldheart (spider and fireknight)
tuhak, dilgol, fang cleric and battlesage(faction wars)
thats it really.
Voids shards are ancients that give void champs, which honestly aren't that good because there is no affinity advantage. I guess tomir or arbiter are voids... but there are junk voids and some voids can be obtained through fusion. I got lucky and my two voids dropped awesome rare champs! (veteran for debuffs and kurzard for aoe and acc)
the weird thing is void are weak to all affinity
not weak, they are neither advantaged not disadvantaged
if a void goes against a magic champ, for example, it is the same as if going against another magic champ
specific affinity advantages are useful against bosses, or against teams comprised mostly of a specific affinity
otherwise, there's a lot of strategy needed when you go into mixed teams, you need to balance out which champs you want to battle with which opponents
having a few well groomed void champs lets you have a core team where you can sub in other affinities as needed
I'm not an expert so take my opinoins with a grain of salt, but since I've started using void base groups, I've been having a lot more success in all aspects of the game

the advantaged is the weakness
