Hello, it may be due to the internet connection.  They usually end up a little bit from the current size dimensions. 

I think your statement is accurate if you consider all the times that they have to shut down for maintenance to fix whatever the initial update was about.  Then we get hit in the face with a whole new round of advertisements.
