Arena rework idea
Hello everyone,
before arena tournament change I have been regularly in gold II-III, occasionally peeking into IV, now as many others I fell down to silver. Before the change many players did not care about progress anymore and let others reach higher levels. I think that Arena is played by many players of various "age", skill and luck and that it is not designed for such huge amount of competitors.
Since first wave of arena changes failed I started to think how to solve this another way.
My proposal is this:
Divide Arena into three (or maybe two could be enough) "leagues".
- Bronze (Beginner) league consists Bronze I-IV and Silver I-IV and can be entered by anyone who earned no more than 5000 silver medals.
- Silver (Advanced) league consists Bronze IV, Silver I-IV and Gold I-IV and can be entered by anyone who earned no more than 10000 gold medals.
- Gold (Master) league consists Silver III-IV, Gold I-IV and Platinum and can be entered by anyone who earned at least 100 gold medals
Some rules proposal:
- Rewards could be as it is now, as anything except platinum tier rewards cannot be described as game changers.
- Each league lasts one week as usual, starting/ending time as it is now.
- Any player can apply to switch to another league at any time (if condition above applies), change comes at league's end.
- When anyone switches to higher league, starts in Silver I in case of Silver league or in Silver IV in case of Gold league.
- When anyone switches to lower league, starts in Bronze I in case of Bronze league or in Silver I in case of Silver league.
This way could help anyone to progress in collecting tiers, medals for Arbiter mission and (maybe) enjoy arena a bit.
Any constructive critics and improvements ideas are highly appreciated.
