Is it me or has arena got ridiculous? There was an update that mentioned a change to how matchmaking happened and ever since then I win one in 10 battles. Ive gone from gold 4 to gold 1.
Every single team I match with has at least one legendary void champ which seems unlikely unless everyone in the game spends a lot of money.
Arena is by far THE NUMBER ONE complaint from the players.So far they have given lip service to doing something about it, but here we are with whatever tweaks they have in mind being pushed to next patch.
It was supposed to be this recent patch.....

I did write about this problem but ... well, none of you could understand.
Another thing, why I don't think it's Bots but right now I have a hunch thay it's stat boosting on the defender team.
My team power is around 99k, and I found this opponent with apothecary and Warmaiden and 2 other epics I can't bother to remember, their team power is around 45k
They wiped me out, okay, team power is useless anyway so I moved on fighting others, but then after a couple of battles I accidentally battled that 45k team again, thinking "oooh man I'm getting wiped out again" but to my surprise, this time I was the one easily wiping them out without any problem.
Since the subject is about "What has happen to arena" and some of you are talking about conspiracies in the game :D, I thought I will share to you this screenshot I took last June 21, in my location this is the day before arena reset where most likely a lot of players will start pushing to higher tier and hoping to get to platinum the next day.
Well this level 40 guy SeaSmoke with the team on his defense which I don't know what he want to achieve in this comp, had 4047 points :D close in reaching platinum
Sure I don't know what he is using on his offense, but can you even have good artifacts that can push you to gold 4 at level 40? I am really trying hard in arena and I only have 3904 points :D
His defense is not even a TRAP defense that can give him wins, I just straight out nuke this team and win in few seconds.
So, if this guy is just trying to finish his Arbiter mission, he is doing a good job in reaching gold 4 :D
During weekends a lot of players will be pushing to higher ranks again. You need to improve your artifacts or at least have better artifacts than others that are pushing to higher ranks again.More easily said than done, since of course we use the best artifacts we have. The problem is by not changing anything within a few weeks time I've gone from G3 to S3. So something is not going right
It's all kinds of screwed up. I started playing right after the patch people are saying broke arena.
If I didn't read up on these forums I probably would have quit by now, but seeing as so many other people are beyond frustrated with arena and Plarium says they are going to do something about it I'm hanging in there for the moment.
If they delay arena changes again (was supposed to be in the recent patch) I don't know that I'll stick around.
Arena should be fun and engaging. It isn't. Nothing fun about being stuck and having nothing but stacked teams with the best PvP champs come up refresh after refresh.
I don't mind losing in a fair fight, but fair fights are few and far between. Way too many accounts sitting in Bronze and Silver that have NO business being there!

Also, my Apothecary has a speed of 278, which was previously enough to allow me to win a majority of my offensive battles, while I was in Gold IV (4).
Now, I am in Gold II (2), and the reverse is true, the majority of teams I challenge are going first, even when I use a 23% aura boost, and they are under a defensive aura boost.
Was there some massive speed artifact sell that I missed?

Arena defense team got buffed against players. If you fight yourself in Arena, yourself always go 1st and always beat you.
I did a test with all opponents in my arena list, I do auto all and 100% lose. It is because Plarium set arena list is strong and they got buffed, all of them are stronger than my team.

Oh, thanks IDENT20, that explains a lot.
That saves me time and money I would have just wasted in a pointless effort to get my primary arena team to a speed of over 300.
i have one toone with speed over 350.(include lead boost) it not help still losing... not starting, mostyl all oponet teamhave turn before me..
indeed you can feel that it become harder to compete in the arena. I think they introduced limits of players in tears and this is what we get. Another slap from Plarium. Let's wait for champ rebalance and the way Plarium implementing things feels like it will be massive fuck up for all champs and it will be the last nail in the coffin.
