They dont promise 9 either way (win or lose). Win gets you X, loss 20 -x
So only when it is 10 do the same occur W or L
This is no different than classic has always been, so should be no surprise here

This is correct. In case you did not know yet, the sum of win and lose points is always 20. Like your example, you see +9 on a win, it means you will lose 11 points if you did not.
11 + 9 is 20.
If you see +5, it means you will get -15 if you lose.
This is also why I said on my earlier post not to attack below +7 because it is risky.
If you attack +6, and you lose 1 battle, you will get +6 +6 - 14. So you get -2 points even if you win 2 of the battles.
