You could upgrade 1 Mortu Macaab with 4 dupe Mortu Macaab to get his skills +4.

Which one you prefer:

A) Dup lego turn to yellow shard.

B) Dup lego turn to skill book (already).

C) exchange for actual book to use on any lego

well another 2 dupes this sacred shard event, vizier and ,basileus roanas as you see these are 2nd time dupes, gg plarium, gg.

so this event i pulled 4 legendaries 3 being dupes, the non dupe was war mother, so nothing to write home about.

Looks like you have half of all legendaries, lol. Dupes to be expected the more you have. I agree though that you should be able to do something with dupes, either exchange for books or generic fragments. Something that both helps the player and encourages shard purchases. Win 

Did they mention what year that it will be addressed? 

The last update from then said that a solution would be in place before the end of this calendar year, so probably in the next couple of months.  No other information is available yet that I am aware of

To be completely honest, I am not holding my breath.  Some of Plarium's recent decisions have been a bit underwhelming, and I'm not expecting anything different with this.  It will likely be driven from the perspective of how it can increase sales

what i think is that most players want some system that helps them get legendaries that they dont already have. However with plarium being completely and utterly tone deaf im sure it will be some sort of system that does nothing like that and that no one wants.

Almost a year ago...Good thing we didn't hold our breath or there wouldn't be anyone alive to play and pay.

Hi! We're actively working on the system to make duplicates useful. In fact, the highest priority of this task is what sometimes precludes us from addressing some other minor issues more promptly.

In case of such a game-changing feature as a duplicate system, we want to make sure:

1. It is well-designed and well-thought-through because otherwise it might break the gameplay completely
2. It fits into the game economy and let's say a Legendary duplicate has appropriate value, different from an Epic duplicate
3. It is properly tested
4. It addresses the needs of players of different tiers, not only of a particular group
