Was that your first time fighting against a mythical? That's a pretty common outcome at the higher-end of gameplay, and toshiro is one of the best arena champs period.

Yeah 😂 That was actually my first time going up against a Mythical. I definitely wasn't expecting Toshiro to turn my entire team into a fucking highlight reel 💀😂 I thought I had the fight until the very end, then RAID said “nah, watch this.” Appreciate it though! 😎

*chuckle* You were upset with Toshiro? He's an "older" mythical compared to other champions. The 2 I hate the most right now are Arne and Sabrael. They are perhaps the BIGGEST cheaters in the game right now. The ONLY means of fighting Arne is to have someone faster than him that can do a massive damage "block revive" on him or you're done. Sabrael I still haven't found a defense against her. If they put up her and Solanar, it's pretty much an auto loss.

Arne and Sabrael sound WAY worse though. I haven't really run into them enough yet to understand how nasty they are. What makes Sabrael + Solanar such a nightmare to deal with? Is there a specific champion or strategy you use against that combo?

You weren't kidding about her and Solanar. That combo sounds absolutely disgusting in Arena. Now I'm curious what you use to counter them when you run into that defense.

Ban if i can in live arena, hard pass in classic and tag.

Actually, last night I beat a Solanar & Nodula combo for the first time. But I had 3 out of 4 champs in 9pc mercurial gear, and it was still a very hard and long fight

3 out of 4 in 9pc Mercurial just to beat them?? 😂 Yeah I’m definitely taking the ‘lose and move on’ strategy. I’m not trying to turn one arena fight into a 45-minute raid boss encounter 💀

Well, it wasn't just for that. It was in tag team arena and I was pretty sure i'd lose. But I was reasonably certain I'd beat the other 2 teams, so I figured I'd give it a shot

That team I used was built for fighting the Santa/Noelle/Tormin/Girltormin super-freeze teams, so total guard stacks to prevent getting locked down by freezes.

The usual trick to beating Solanar is to first get his skills on coolfown, and then get block passive on him. except you have to assume he's also gonna be in 9pc mercurial, so you need a triple hit in-between the cd and block

edit: imo, even that's more effort than it's worth. Just skip or take the loss :)

Solanar/Noldua is not haed to beat with Nick./Noelle/Karnage/Lockout.  

Thats fine for classic / tag.  Hard to setup for Live. 

That's true, but no one picks Noldua in Live, so you don't have to deal with the Synergy, just with Solanar solo.

I picked Queen Eva against Solanar the other day and the opponent just quit.  

I normally use Cruetraxa.  Always nice to hit that block revive on his head.

In the future, I'll possibly use my shiny new Mezomel, but for now, Eva & Predator are my best built Block Revivers.  

Also have a shiny new Mezo.  She will remain in the original packaging until she gets another buff too.
