What mission?  If you mean the login ones, those are split souls so you need to start with the 2* and work up.

What level are you? Is the altar of souls open?

Skeletor is not a really good champ. 😜 He's not bad for beginner, but really falls off at mid-game.

Who would be a really good champion to have?

Ninja, Sun Wukong, Cheshire Cat (the last one I almost spit my coffee at the screen when I read that), to name a few.  Course, there are also starting "packages" sponsored where you get like 5 or 7 champs spread over attaining level 50 and such.  A friend of mine did the one that had Karato in it.  I think I've even seen one that let you select champs from a list.

Of course, I started the game and was like "free champ...what's that?", didn't get anything beyond Elhain as a starter. 😂
