Ummm... not really. The main goal of tag is to collect gold bars to buy things in the bazaar. Even on low level accounts, you can buy 300 energy and an Ancient shard for cheap. Even on my lv100 account and gold ranking, I still buy them every week. It's not much but it is a little something for your account to progress.

End game perspective but I think TTA is quite good rewards for the effort I need to put in.  5 days of the week its just auto farming 1 man teams and 2 days of climbing back to yellow to stay in my tier.  Can buy all the good rewards on CD and the points / gem for CvC are really good as well.

I float around G2-G4 and farm bars 4-5 days every week and 7 days on the weeks I don't care if I fall a tier.

Totally up to you if the extra resources are worth the effort.  I buy the Sacreds, Lego Books, Voids, Ancients, Energy, Brews, 3* Chix, 4* Chix and the Forge Charms and I never run out of gold bars....

Its another part of the game that gives you random resources.  They might seem small but they all add up.  

Plus they are part of the dailies so that you earn extra energy each day.  

I get all that, seems though finding a tier I can float in, even if it's silver, is better than pushing for Ramantu.  Doesn't seem reasonable with all the f2p OP teams to try further for him.

My recommendation is to redirect any effort you are putting into classic arena to 3v3 and/or live.

My bad, I assumed that was in rear view mirror.   My perspective is a bit skewed.  That said, beyond using all tokens as quickly as possible further optimizing classic provides less benefits than the other rewards. 

Unless they expand the tiers again or implement a more comprehensive rework (Don't hold your breath!), 3v3 will only continue to get harder.

If you are in a clan that cares about Siege, there is no better training ground than 3v3 because it forces you to use a wider range of toons, which helps you learn more about team synergy.  

If you want help, we can help you put teams together based on your Roster.  Over the years, what I have found is that a lot of people like to complain about 3v3 w/o actually putting in the work to gear their teams correctly, figure out how teams work together, and pick the right fights.

I am a long term low-spender and I can climb all the way to G4 when I want to. It is a lot harder than it used to be, so the only time I bother is leading into PR CVC.  This week I am G3, but will fall to G2 because I am running 1-man teams. I will promote the next 2 wks and be in G4 for the next PR.

I still find staying in g4 easier with 5 days against solo and 2 days of 5 real battles every week and I'm guessing our rosters are fairly similar (yours probably less outdated lol). I accidentally drop to g3 very rarely, once a year probably. 

I have two teams armed up (the all evade/Merc team) + Laz/3 turtles in all Merc, and both those win most of the fights I pick.  The third team is the weak spot even against comps that are winnable.  Once I can put Arbiter, the recently gained Lyssandra, then Alice and Sanguine Maria into all Merc, I think I can then push into Silver III to get Ramantu missions back on line, but it's just too much to ask for my current 3rd team to hold up at the top levels of Silver II.  I still have a lot of work to get the third team gussied up, so gave up making Silver III and will just farm Silver II with one-man teams until I get all three teams worked out.

And, totally get that competing in TT allows toons to impact so many other parts of the game...it's just not cool how OP TT comps really are.  Bit of a grind to be honest...but at least the two working TT comps both are doing really well in my clan's level of Siege (we recently made it into tier 6 and won the first two since).

Believe it or not, I have still never tried to stay in G4. I have thought about it a few times, but when Fri/Sat comes around and I look at the teams I'd need to fight for dailies and to hold G4, I just say eff no.

You have a much scarier Roster than I do in terms of peeps looking at your 3v3 Defenses and saying, "Nope, Not fighting those teams".  I have no Mythical Dmg Dealers and none of the Meta Void Legos.

As far as up-to-date goes, I definitely do more Masteries than you do; I never throw a toon into a 3v3 team w/o being fully booked & masteries selected, and my teams are all speed-tuned for turn order.  I used to set up the AI every week, but for the past year, I have been lazy about that part, so probably 50/50 on that.

The people squatting in g4 try the least lol.  The higher you get the worse the teams are besides the ultra teams.  The "really good" teams do 6-1 and just climb past 1000 on Sunday.  I do 5-2 or if busy weekend 4-3 (climb to 1200) and break even in 5 matches a day.  The unknown is the cutline is invisible, but I've been below 1000 and stayed g4.  

Its so much easier after Tier expansion.  Probably only need to be around 850 to hold on now.

ALso, tag team is worth a ton of cvc points for the time it takes, once you're into gold anyway.

It's long been noted that the "reach gold 1 tag" is arguably the single hardest mission in the game, and for the umpteenth time I'm suggesting (and Mods, I know you've passed this along already, ty for that) that the mission be replaced with just "win x bars" or "win x battles" where even if x is some huge number, you can still make visible, steady progress instead of getting stuck in one spot for months on end, or even worse, actually *lose* progress.

Right on Rat!  I get about 70K CVC Points every CVC just from grinding 3v3.

Another benefit to being a 3v3 Grinder is Relentless Gear. I don't use much of it anymore, but 3v3 Tourneys have been the best source of good Relentless for my account by a wide margin, and when you are willing to drop a tier (like I do regularly), when there is a 3v3 Tourney that starts on a weekend, it allows you to jump out to a strong lead that your competitors will find hard to overcome.  These days, the best payback from a 3v3 Tourney is the Lego Relic Materials whenever there is an overarching event running.
